“Making a positive difference in the lives of young people.”
Here at Kings we have our very own qualified street pastor team. These people go out into the city center streets every Friday night and help to make our city a safer and more enjoyable place for all. We aim to demonstrate the unconditional love of God to who ever we meet.
It is our aim as a church to be involved in our local community. God loves people and it is His desire to show that love to them practically on a daily basis through the normal activities in life that we all are involved in. Therefore we have decided to get out onto the streets and meet people where they are at.
In 2009 a new community work initiative under the title of K’URB was set up. K’URB stands for Kings Urban and seeks to meet the many aspects of our communities needs. K’URB speaks of street level projects which will allow us to bridge the gap between our community and the church.
Currently K’URB consists of youth work at St Margaret’s Church Hall. Want to find out more?
Our food parcel provision or Jesus Cares, is a practical demonstration of God's love in our community. We can tell people about the love of God until we're blue in the face, but this is about showing that Jesus cares!
However, Jesus Cares is much more than just food parcels. When Jesus meets need, he meets every need! In partnership with external organisations and with our amazing congregation at King's Church, we want to show God's love in practical ways and to the people who need it most.
